Wow, what a beast
I'm not one for writing reviews but this purchase requires a write up. After many months of planning and research into swapping a 5.3 Vortec into our 1983 CJ7 (yes it has to have at least a 5 speed) I landed on this Quickdraw bellhousing. There are several options for adaptors out there but because of my engineering back ground I'm always concerned with additional points of failure every time you add another seam or joint to a structure. Quickdraw offers the best solution possible, no adaptors, and this thing is "bullet proof". Yes, I did watch the promotional vid of a 45 acp and a 12 gauge being fired at one of your bellhousings. I'm still smiling about those results. I have some buddies that are fabricators and or engineers and to the letter they are all very impressed. Oh, the fit and finish on this thing is beyond compare. If you've committed to an AX15 or NV3550 behind your Vortec don't half step with adaptors. This bellhousing has it all.

Perfect fit.
Nicer finish than the mopar bellhousing it replaced, installed using all factory parts around it (Jeep on the transmission side, chevy truck on the motor side.) Works with “short crank” motor from an automatic truck. At the time of writing it was $828 cheaper than the other brand kit on the market, and much easier to install.
