This kit allows the installer to bolt their new Cummins R2.8 turbo diesel to a Dodge NV4500 5 speed transmission. The Cummins R2.8 NV4500 adapter kit combination works great for most builds.
If you need to replace worn parts just visit the local parts store for clutch kit part number K1890-05. Some users have stated the SACH kit will not work as it interferes with the pilot bushing. In addition, all parts in this Dodge Cummins adapter kit are new including the throw out bearing and pilot bearing. The external clutch slave cylinder is part number CS2326 or CS2324 depending on master cylinder used. The Dodge Transmission will need the Dodge v8 gas input shaft and bearing retainer. It is 1.125 diameter 10 spline input shaft.
This bell housing does not require additional NV4500 Cummins R2.8 adapters to make it work, it is the NV4500 Cummins R2.8 adapter kit. You will save nearly 2 inches in your driveline giving you a longer rear driveshaft, perfect for Jeep, Land Cruiser, Land Rover, Scout, Blazer, Bronco, or any other short wheel based vehicle.
